Weapons Sweeps in Local Area

As it is Knife Crime Awareness week, On Monday 18TH May 2026, the St Martin's Team alongside Knight's Hill SNT conducted weapon sweeps around two local schools. One school being City Height's Academy which is located on the St Martin's Ward. These were conducted within our community in order to support Metropolitan Police initiative Op Sceptre. These proactive measures aim to enhance public safety, reduce the risk of concealed weapons, and provide reassurance to residents.

The Op Sceptre aims to:

·  Reduce the presence of weapons in the community and schools

·  Deter individuals from carrying or concealing weapons

·  Increase awareness of the risks and consequences of knife crime

·  Empower schools to deliver effective preventative education

·  Support a safer environment for young people and the wider community.
